Lentils
Legumes seem to be all over this list, and for a very good reason. Like their counterparts, beans, lentils are rich in fiber, which are useful in dealing with cholesterol. Not only that, but lentils are also rich in vegetarian proteins. The latter work as an excellent substitute for carnivorous proteins, and work in tandem with the vegetarian amino acids in lentils to burn through fats and clear clogged arteries easily, therefore decreasing the risk of developing a cardiovascular disease and increasing the body’s speed of recovering from one.
