Almost everybody experiences sadness or mood changes from time to time. Dementia can cause severe mood changes for no obvious reason. They may feel puzzled, skeptical, or disengaged. Some people may become less inhibited or more extroverted.

It is natural to be tired after engaging in certain activities. Dementia can force an individual to lose interest in previously appreciated things or to need prompts to become motivated.
