Description
A delicious salted caramel pear tart with a buttery crust and rich caramel filling.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3–4 tbsp ice water
- 3 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
- Cut in chilled butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add ice water, 1 tbsp at a time, until dough forms.
- Roll dough into a tart pan and bake for 15 minutes.
- Cook sugar in a saucepan until caramelized.
- Stir in cream, butter, and sea salt.
- Arrange pear slices over the crust and pour caramel on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.
- Cool before serving.
Notes
- Use firm pears for better texture.
- Chill dough before rolling for easier handling.
- Let tart cool completely to set the caramel.
