  • Author: Judy
  • Total Time: 1 hour 20 minutes (including chilling time)
  • Yield: About 40 cookie balls 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Moose Farts are delightful no-bake cookie balls made with a combination of sweetened condensed milk, coconut, graham cracker crumbs, and chocolate chips. They are easy to make and perfect for holiday gatherings or as a fun treat for both kids and adults.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (300 ml in Canada, 14 oz in the US)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups dried coconut (fine or medium cut)
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs, plus extra for rolling
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, thoroughly combine the melted butter, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract.
  2. Add Dry Ingredients: Stir in the graham cracker crumbs, dried coconut, and chocolate chips until the mixture is well combined.
  3. Chill: Refrigerate the mixture for about an hour to firm up, which will make it easier to roll into balls.
  4. Form Cookie Balls: Scoop and roll the mixture into 1 1/4-inch balls. Keep them on the small side, as they are quite rich.
  5. Coat with Crumbs: Roll the formed balls in additional graham cracker crumbs to coat them evenly.
  6. Final Chill: Place the coated balls on a baking sheet and chill in the refrigerator until firm.
  7. Store: Keep the Moose Farts in a sealed container in the refrigerator. They can be stored this way for up to a week.

Notes

  • Serving Suggestion: Serve these treats chilled for the best texture and flavor.
  • Variations: For a nuttier flavor, consider adding finely chopped pecans or walnuts to the mixture.
