A delicious and easy-to-make coffee cake with a sweet maple glaze and crunchy pecan topping.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add softened butter, milk, and egg. Stir until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- In a small bowl, mix chopped pecans, maple syrup, and brown sugar. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute walnuts for pecans if desired.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
