Description

A delicious and easy-to-make coffee cake with a sweet maple glaze and crunchy pecan topping.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add softened butter, milk, and egg. Stir until well combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  5. In a small bowl, mix chopped pecans, maple syrup, and brown sugar. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the batter.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute walnuts for pecans if desired.
